By having access to a Classroom Virtual Library my students will be able to study world history on a more advance and global level. Being that we live in a low socio-economic area, most of my students have never experienced anything outside of our county. It is my goal and objective to prepare my students to be able to compete on a global level for higher education and future jobs. These Chromebooks, will not only give me the resources to introduce my students to the world beyond our county, but it will also give my students the needed practice in utilizing technology. Access to these Chromebooks will also allow my students to be able to read during and after school and complete school projects. Getting students to think critically about historical events rather than just memorizing the facts is challenging. But digital technology can assist me in this matter. It is our goal to inspire, involve, and invest in our future leaders of tomorrow. Having these Chromebooks in my classroom will give my students an opportunity that they would not normally see in our school. These Chromebooks will allow me to introduce my students to many virtual libraries. Having access to these libraries will not just give my students access to books, but it will also broaden their horizons and increase their vocabulary. Studies have shown that these two skills will better prepare my students in their journey to become successful readers and lifelong learners.
