Research is showing that students who are allowed to move while learning will be better able to retain and apply the learning. That is definitely true for my first grade class. There is a variety of new options for sitting and working in class that enables the students to work. All of the items have been picked to allow optimal student engagement while learning in the classroom. The wobble chairs and wobble cushions allow students to sit at a desk while swaying from side to side. This helps students to move their lower parts of their bodies while keeping the top half of their body, still focusing on their work. We do not have any bouncy bands or balance balls in our classroom. Both of these would give active students another quiet way to move while still working. We currently have two T-stools, a few stools, and one wobble cushion, but I would love to be able to offer more choices for all students. Thank you for picking our class and supporting us. My students are excited and look forward to using these materials to help them with their learning!
