My students come from the inner city and almost all of them do not have access to computers once they leave our school. I feel it is part of my job to make up for the loss of technology in their lives by providing it in the classroom. There is a huge world out there that my students do not have access to on a daily basis and this is why I want to get another computer for my classroom. Also, we were lucky enough to have another project funded, a digital camera. We want to create our own slide shows and multimedia videos with this computer. I can not tell you how excited the students get when they have the chance to work on a laptop computer. They feel special, important, and smart. These are 3 very important reasons why we need this computer.
