I am an avid reader and I share my love for literature with my students. My classroom library has a variety of books but unfortunately does not meet the needs of all of my students. I would like to have a classroom library that supports all of my students' reading levels and interests. Having books on their appropriate reading level will improve their reading skills and motivation to read. My students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. Being excited and having a desire to read a book, will help them connect with the characters, relate to their experiences, and learn from information that is given. This project will increase my students'confidence in their abilities to read and comprehend.
