I have moved my entire classroom from one school site to another. As I am also changing grade levels, I've realized that I need to acquire some new titles that are engaging and relevant. The books, "Holes" and "Wonder" do a terrific job of demonstrating empathy and helping children connect to those feelings within themselves. I would like to use these books at the beginning of the school year to start off on the right foot with getting my students to care about other people by practicing empathy for their experiences. My classroom brings together students from all walks of life and I would like to focus on the social-emotional aspect of learning at the beginning of the year to ensure a more cohesive classroom environment. These books would be an amazing addition to our classroom!
