We currently have access to a wonderful pottery kiln and would love to use it! We currently explore pottery and vessels on a small scale using hand building techniques but it's not often, if ever, that a student is presented a way to create vessels with a pottery wheel. This is a Title I school with a strong Indian Education program and I would love to further our Indian Heritage lesson by expanding their knowledge of pottery making. Many students move from middle school to high school without having any exposure to pottery and this will allow my students to become familiar with it on a larger scale.
