As anybody who has walked into an elementary school knows, kids like to move! My students (ages 7-8) are no exception. They are expected to sit and focus on instruction and their work, when really, their bodies just want to move. I am asking for a classroom set because I think all of my students will benefit. In one study I looked at, teachers discovered a dramatic increase in student participation when using a wobble chair. Those who struggled from lack of focus repeatedly were more on task and able to complete assignments. "The Kore™ Wobble Chair is basically a school-based therapist’s dream come true because it effectively targets two of the most common issues we see in classrooms: fidgety kids who have difficulty attending and staying in their seats and kids who struggle with postural stability due to weak core muscles."-The Inspired Tree House. As you can see, these stools are a win-win for kids!
