Having these materials will assist in our classroom learning environment. Our students will be able to learn to use all of their senses to help them understand the world around them. My students are nonverbal and have significant intellectual disabilities that hinder a typical learning environment. We learn best in our room using all 5 of our senses: Touch, Smell, Taste, Vision, and Hearing. Having the materials such as the iPad will help communicate to each other with significant programs, having CDs with movement songs will assist us in moving our bodies in different ways to get our wiggles out so we can focus longer. Using our aprons and hats will assist us in not getting dirty during our cooking lessons that help us with our life skills. All of our academics are used very differently through play and social aspects to help us grow into better citizens of the community. Please help our classroom grow!
