I teach a diverse group of students who do not have access to the technology that so many take for granted. Students here in rural MS have very limited access to internet. Many of my kids also have no transportation to even take advantage of the library. My kids live in poverty and at times may not have the necessities of life such as electricity and water in their homes. My students have to be put on an even playing field with their peers in other schools! They are smart and capable, and when given the right tools can soar. With access to chrome books daily I can better prepare my students for the future. I can provide them with the tools they need to succeed in life. I can give them hope!
