Welcome to Ms. Mollere's classroom. We are eager to learn more about government, advocacy, and saving endangered species including the West Indian Manatee, the only species native to the US. We are hoping that through a diligent campaign for public awareness, we can help save manatees and their habitats. Our main goal is to reduce the number of manatee deaths in the US. We will learn about science,taxonomy, zoology, botany,and conservation, while learning to be better readers. We will learn ways that even one student can make a difference. This should also help us personally, teaching us how to make a difference or change in our own lives, and accomplish all we aspire for while helping an endangered species native to the Southern USA. My students are willing and eager to learn despite learning disabilities, severe poverty, and suffering through recent hardships due to Hurricane Isaac. They will make a difference.
