My students need books, dominoes, sight word learning mats and other materials to help with learning. Having sets of reading and writing materials in my class will allow my refugee students work in groups within their English literacy levels. Understanding that every learner processes information differently, the literacy games, cards and building cubes will win the heart of my kinesthetic and visual learners too! Organization is essential in establishing efficiency in a classroom. The storage shelf will foster their skills in self-sufficiency, which results in a healthier learning environment. My classroom has minimal ESL resources for my growing number of refugee students. As I teach my mainstream students, my newcomers observe and desire to be a part of the rest of the class. I find myself struggling the majority of my prep time searching for free ESL resources online. With the proper learning materials, my English learners will no longer feel excluded from engaging learning opportunities. The generosity of your donation will be an investment in their love for learning.
