Technology is important and is advancing every day. Due to economic challenges, the students do not have computers or internet at home. Many of my students do not know how to turn on a computer, use the mouse, use the keyboard, or use the internet. The laptops will allow me to teach the students how to use a computer properly. It is important for them to learn because it will open door for their future with employment or attending college. The laptops will also assist with their academics. The laptops will allow the students to gain access to software such as I-Ready and Unique learning. I-Ready Instruction delivers powerful online interactive lessons in math and reading, that motivate students on their paths to proficiency and growth. Unique Learning program is designed specifically to give students with complex learning needs meaningful access to the general education curriculum. The two software programs will enhance student learning and allow student access to the internet.
