Currently, our agriculture students have no access in their classrooms to technology. This is due to a district wide technology refresh in which we lost a mobile lab. Additionally, there was a fire that destroyed our school greenhouse. Thus, our agriculture department lost significant funding to replace our technology. Each student is asked to complete an online record book for their experience projects. With those record books, FFA members can compete in contests and for scholarship dollars at the regional, state, and national levels. Over the past 5 years, my students have won national championships in record keeping, national scholarships, and over 80 regional championships in record keeping alone. These Chromebooks will enable my students to continue to be successful in these areas despite recent hardships.
