The pandemic hit our children and families hard. However, we all kicked into high gear to meet our students educational needs, despite having limited resources. As we came to the end of the year, I grew anxious thinking about what educational options my students would have once their technology was returned for the summer. My students desperately needed summer reading options, that had characters that looked like and represented them. This project will provide students with culturally and racially significant books. I consider that the greatest gift I can give.

About my class
