My students don't have much and what they do have they give. Having taught here a few years I decided that one way I can help them improve is by starting a chess club at the school. Chess has been proven to help improve the students thinking and reasoning skills. In addition, chess can help raise our student's IQs, help them problem solve, improve their memory, exercises both sides of the brain and helps grow dendrites for learning. Chess allows our kids the chance to learn and grow without even knowing that they are learning and growing. This is the opportunity they need!
