Kids need movement to learn. When we ask our children to sit still and be quiet, we are going against what their little bodies naturally want to do. Just like adults, sitting for long periods of time can lead to a loss of focus and concentration. This is especially true for children with ADHD. Current research shows that when moving, children with ADHD have an easier time learning and focusing. I feel this also true for kindergarteners as a whole. To help with this, I am asking for 8 Wobble Chairs for my classroom. Using the Wobble Chairs will allow my students to safely move and wiggle while still working. Having the freedom to move will enhance focus, concentration, and overall learning. Thank you for taking the time to read my request. I hope you will consider helping me create the best learning environment for all of my amazing students. One small and simple change, such as seating, can make a huge impact.
