Not all of my students have a love of reading. Some don't feel that the short stories in the textbooks provided are interesting, but with creative and imaginative novels, I'm hoping to change their minds as well as increasing their reading comprehension and improve their written expression. Some may discover a love for reading that they never knew they had! I'm also hoping to open their eyes to the diversity of others and not to judge anyone based on looks. In addition, my hope is that they understand that even small actions to help others can make a big difference.

About my class
