My students love to create & explore with new materials, but they don't always have the opportunity to do this. Materials can be costly and hard to obtain. However, as the year progresses, I'd like to implement morning tubs into our routine. Morning tubs allow students to create, play, explore, and communicate, using different materials- something I know my students will completely love and embrace. I've chosen to add Magna Tiles (magnetic colored tiles) toour Morning Tub routine. Magna Tiles allow students to not only create 2D & 3D shapes, but to also gain familiarity with the shapes. They allow students to created patterns, mazes, or really whatever they want. They allow for open-ended play & math practice. It's creativity & learning at it's finest! My students would absolutely LOVE these!
