Stability balls will allow students to bounce and wiggle while they learn! Kids have energy - and school sometimes requires focused, seated work. Stability balls used for alternative seating in our classroom will allow students to bounce while they work instead of bouncing off the walls. Our students set goals and have choice in what they work on during our math block, and I would like to extend this privilege of choice to their seating. Research clearly suggests that all students, especially those with special needs like ADHD, benefit from moving while working. Just because our classroom space is limited does not mean our movement has to be. Help our students activate their minds while they activate their core muscles!
