Flexible seating options will promote an environment where students can take charge of their own learning and make the choices that work best for them. Making sure students have choices is an essential component in motivating them in the learning process and making them autonomous individuals. The tables and chairs I have chosen, will add on to a few things that I have already obtained. The tables will make it easier for students to complete STEM related activities and have group discussions. This allows them to socialize in a way that is more directed. The balance ball chairs will allow students some movement without having yoga balls rolling away from them. My third graders need an outlet to get some of their extra wiggles out and these seats will provide it for them.
