Neuroanatomy and brain structure and function account for a significant portion of the Advanced Placement Psychology exam. As exam time approaches I am looking for innovative ways to review material that we have learned throughout the year. Participating in a hands-on brain dissection will increase student engagement and improve retention of the material. My students will benefit from increased engagement and improved retention of information involved in dissecting a mammalian brain. Students will get a hands-on experience interacting some of the information we have discussed in class. My school and students will hopefully benefit in the form of increased scores on the AP Exam in May!
