My kindergarten students are already using CAD programs and creating 3D objects like ornaments and cookie cutters. With these 3D pens, my students can better understand the 3D design process. My students will be able to use the pen to create and improve a design before moving to more difficult CAD programs. Students will learn how to make shapes using the 3D pen. Then they will apply this learning to projects such as our bird house design unit. The 3D pen will be used to create a bird house prototype from their shape knowledge. The 3D pens will help bring students imaginations to life. They will understand how shapes, lines, and vertices join together as they create simple and complex shapes. Basic shape learning will be enhanced and a deeper knowledge will be acquired. Learning will soar!
