Typically, OTs are assigned schools in similar age groups. I am in a unique situation where I work with all grade levels where many different kinds of materials are needed to support my students’ participation in school. I do not have the materials needed to meet the needs of the wide range of students I serve. I have limited accessibility to resources such as adaptive equipment, self-regulation and life skills books, fine motor manipulatives and supplies for visual supports. I work with the students on fine motor skill development, self-regulation, executive functioning skill development, vocational skills, life skills (i.e. toileting and feeding) adapting and modifying materials to help students access their curriculum. The ability to have the resources listed below would greatly benefit the students by providing an array of appropriate, ready materials that are easily available during therapy sessions.
