The use of compositions notebooks is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in reading and writing. When it is time for readers workshop, my students use their compositions notebooks to create their own sentences using our weekly sight words and vocabulary words in Spanish. Also during readers workshop, my students use their composition notebooks to do a reading response after they read independently. While in the writers' workshop, my students use their composition notebooks to become authors and illustrators. Throughout the year, my students develop different skills to write informative, narrative, and opinion writings in Spanish. Overall the composition notebooks will make my students become creative authors, they will also see their progress from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. The snacks on the other hand will help my students have enough energy to keep on learning throughout the day and grow their brains! If I can make sure my students get a snack, they will be able to better focus and really build the fundamental knowledge necessary for them to continue to be successful throughout school.
