My Leckie Stars are in need of tablets and accessories. As a special education teacher, I have the pleasure to teach an unique group of stars.
I have found that their eyes light up when technology is incorporated with the lesson – an important part of blended learning. What an innovative way to access the curriculum (reading, math and writing) while having fun learning. My groups (grades k-5) have access to one iPad at this time that I purchased. My groups of 4 are currently taking turns sharing the one iPad. Wouldn’t it be great for each student to be actively involved in focused learning and achieving goals and not worried about when it is my turn to use the iPad? By donating to our project this would help increase student attention within small groups as well as the opportunity to interact together in exploring and achieving math and reading goals with the use of their own tablet. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? There are not any tablets available to be used on a daily basis at our school unfortunately due to limitations. This leaves nothing for the Stars. Please donate to these stars to help their academic dreams come true and shine bright.
