Our school is a Title I school funded by the government, due to our free and reduced lunch population. My students are fun loving kids, who come from struggling situations but seem to never let that get the best of them. The population is about 95% Hispanic, with African American and Filipino being the other 5%. With the full implementation of CCSS- Common Core State Standards and the NGSS - Next Generation Science Standards, I have to promote equal learning opportunities for all my students. It is our responsibility to provide them with 21st Century skills. The challenge has always been having limited resources. I make it a priority to bring these resources to the classroom!
