I always want to make sure learning in my classroom is fun. I truly believe that students learn best through play. Literacy centers should be hands-on activities that reinforce concepts and themes taught in the classroom. I am asking for center resources including a Listen and Learn Phonics Activity Program, a set of Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs, ten Hear Myself Sound Phones, a Magnetic Letters Kit, a Simple Sentences Instant Learning Center, a Building Words Instant Learning Center, alphabet stamps, connect and store bins and a Teaching Tubs Storage Rack. This project of Lovable Literacy centers will provide my students with opportunities to have fun while working with others, as well as independently, and problem solve. In order for literacy centers to be effective, they must be interesting and deal with topics that I have already taught to the class. Literacy centers within an elementary school classroom feature a variety of stations geared toward phonics, phonemic awareness, spelling, reading, and writing. I have included a mix of all those stations in this lovable project. My students can practice what they learn in class in an engaging, interactive environment.
