My students attend a Title 1 school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch but they come to school ready and eager to learn. One of the goals of my classroom is to open the eyes of my students to the world around them through stories about children their own age. Many of my students come from homes where there are no books due to financial hardships within our community. These students can work on the same reading Common Core tasks which will then improve their reading ability. It will also give them the chance to discuss literature with their peers a their same reading level. Your donation of these books will give all my students a chance to improve their reading ability and ultimately their success in life.
