Our budding artists are using the same pencils and erasers they use to write in all subject areas during their school day. This singular lead is not conducive to shading in a gradient scale ranging from lights to darks to create form. Their erasers cannot lift lead for highlights. My students need art pencils with art erasers to learn to create value! They need the right tools for the job. Art pencils and art erasers can help our budding artists be more successful in drawing both on their art assignments as well as their independent drawings during their free time.
