iPads are highly engaging and motivating to young children in the education setting. Students that use the iPads for learning activities are more willing and excited to engage in the learning apps versus the traditional flashcards or seat work. For example, there are apps for learning letter sounds and names. As well as, letter and number tracing and identification. Our school also has a math program that requires students to log-on and complete math activities online. The apps for Kindergarten basic skills are extremely engaging and "fun" to the students. As a result, student achievement does increase with the students that have access to the iPads.
