My classroom serves 3-5 year old children in PreK and Kindergarten who have significant disabilities including multiple disabilities, vision impairment, and complex medical needs. This interactive whiteboard will help me to meet the needs of my diverse learners. Multimedia presentations in all curriculum areas will provide for kinesthetic, auditory, and visual learning opportunities for my students. Children with visual impairment will be more actively engaged by increased size of activities and the ability to adjust settings to provide for greater contrast. They will have visual access to curriculum materials that they would not otherwise be able to see. In addition to curriculum activities, the whiteboard would enable me to provide choice time activities such as children's music videos on a large screen that the children could see. I am so excited to see my students more actively engaged in learning!
