All of the supplies requested have proven to aid in reducing anxiety, stress and depression. The Moments of Relaxation and Calmness Initiative will teach students relaxation and calmness skills using their 5 senses and supplies requested in this grant. Ideally, students will learn to recognize when they need Moments of Relaxation and Calmness (MORC) to help rejuvenate, refocus and replenish their abilities to make better decisions. Students will learn, practice and evolve to teaching others how to use relaxation skills. This initiative strives to equip our students with tools they can use at school, home and in the community. The Moments of Relaxation and Calmness Initiative believes in train the trainer model in which ambassador students will learn relaxation skills and teach their peers. This initiative strives to increase students' confidence, levels of self control and leadership roles within our school community.
