My students have learned to play soccer but have had limited access to the correct soccer and basketball equipment. Children will use the equipment to foster team building. Team building will carry over into the classroom. The children will learn to get along with different personlities. They will learn to work with more than one person at a time. With success will come higher self-esteem both on the field and in the classroom. These skills will eventually allow them to enhance their contributions to society as a whole, especially in the workplace. Studies state that children who participate in physical activities show improvement in their academic endeavors. These skills will carry over into everyday life and will help my students to become productive citizens and life-long learners.
