The majority of my class are what is known as free or reduced lunch, or basically economically disadvantaged. Over half of the class are English Language Learners. There previous countries are Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Brazil, and Syria. Some have never been in school before. Most if these students are first time computer users and they do not have the availability of computer technology at home. In our class we are limited to 2 working student stations. So, we are need of laptops to conduct STEM activities, mandated grade level reading programs, and for research purposes.
