In math we are moving toward a personal learning model. With this model, the students become more in charge of their learning. Being in charge of their learning they should have the decision where they work best. They should be able to choose a setting that is most comfortable for them! Flexible seating gives students a choice and ownership of where they sit. This can help students choose a spot that best meets their needs. Desks aren't exactly the best seating option for students. Students that have a lot of energy will be able to sit on wobble chairs and get some of the energy out! Students can keep their mind going by movement whether that be the wobble chairs or the balance balls. Not being able to get up from desks limits their minds. Having different options that allow for movement will enhance their learning!
