Welcome to Comfort Elementary Library, where you can always find 2 of the best things in life: BOOKS & KIDS! And putting them together never gets old! From one-on-one conversations among shelves, to sharing books I love at story time, it's undoubtedly my greatest pleasure in serving as librarian to nearly 500 students, grades Pre-K - 5. But, alongside my greatest pleasure, dwells my greatest struggle: FUNDING...... Years ago, heavy Texas Legislature cuts cost us my full-time library aide, which has drastically compromised my time & dramatically reduced my level of service to students & staff. Since then our small district in the hill country has faced repeated financial challenges, resulting periodically in further library budget cuts. I compensate some by holding bi-annual book fairs, but they're very labor & time-intensive without an aide, so I'm really hoping that DonorsChoose can help!
