I am a public high school choral director teaching students in grades 9 through 12 in a county in North Carolina which has a large low income population and a very large military dependent population. A very large number of our students are on the free and reduced lunch program. As a vocal music teacher, student understanding of and some facility on the piano keyboard is central in the process of learning to read and perform music. I have students working to prepare for music studies at the college level who's parents cannot afford a piano, an electronic keyboard,or piano lessons.

About my class
