My students are first grade students in a high poverty area. Most receive free and reduced lunch and breakfast daily. Many of these students do not get the educational support they need from their parents because many of the parents are trying to meet the basic needs of their children. Through all their struggles, my students come to school with a smile on their faces and eager to learn. It is an honor to watch their growth in first grade. We have fun together, learn together, and support each other in our class family. Thank you for helping me on my mission.
