This project will benefit my students by providing them with a choice of activities that encourage all types of learning styles. Being a first year teacher, I have slowly been accumulating supplies and activities for my students. Everything I have asked for already has a purpose and place in my classroom. These supplies will be utilized and appreciated everyday. I just need your help getting them here! Several items will maximize classroom productivity by creating a more organized and efficient classroom for my students. For example, the file folder holder will be used as a "What can I do when I'm done?" station in order to allow my students to choose what subject and type of learning style they want to work on after they have finished their assigned work. The paper holder will create an organized area to find all different types papers as well as turn in certain assignments. The scheduling chart will allow my students to know their expectations each day. I am blessed to have a mother who is a fourth grade teacher who was willing to donate many books to me, so the book bends are for overflowing storage in my classroom library. The other items like the play-doh, inference cards, fractions and decimals, dry erase boards, craft sticks, and sentence stripe holder will be incorporated into my station time so that I will be able to pull smaller groups for extra assistance without the individual workers getting uninterested or distracted. The hole punch has a multipurpose because I will use them to create arrays to solidify their multiplication facts. In my class, I have a vocabulary king and queen, so the vocabulary of the week will create opportunities for my all of my students to see a variety of advanced words throughout the year.
