The 3D printer and filaments will enhance my student's creativity and allow their designs to "come to life" in the Science classroom. They will design structures to complete a Mars colony and create structures to be used in Physics, along with organelles to create cells in Biology. In A&P, they can create models of the organs that correspond with the various body organ systems we are studying. Students have been given larger, real-world problems that require technology at an earlier age. Introducing the ability to create projects through a 3D printer means that by the time a student graduates, they will have been exposed to this cutting-edge technology. Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future and through funding of this project my students will have the opportunity to see their creations in 3D.
