The pencil sharpener, chart paper, and dry erase markers will help me facilitate small group instruction by giving the students the tools they need to work independently. Every student loves to start their work with a freshly sharpened pencil. Dry erase markers will be used with individual whiteboards. Some activities we do with whiteboards include handwriting, word work, and sentence writing. I also use them as an assessment tool. The chart paper will be used to create anchor charts, directions for small group activities, modeling for explicit instruction, and recording students’ thoughts. These materials will help me run my small groups and enable my students to be positive and prepared classroom citizens.
