Many of my students rely on hunting for their food at home. We live in rural Alaska and the hunting isn't good all year around. These snacks would be a great break for the ones that come in tired and hungry every day! Many of my students don't have a safe place to spend their nights because they feel unsafe in their own homes so greeting them with a nice snack and/or juice in the morning could get our day started on the right path. I spend most of my day with the kids after school whether we are at gym, hunting, fishing, or even just allowing them to come to school at night to escape bad situations at home. They will be so grateful for these snacks!

About my class
