Welcome to Mrs. Weinhouse's page! This is my first year teaching at Lana`i High and Elementary School. I teach 6th grade Math and Science. Teaching is my second career after being a chemist in the biopharmaceutical industry. I just love my new career and love my students. However, they have so much going against them with low test scores, little access to computers and high teacher turnover. However, they have so much going for them, small class sizes and a beautiful secluded island that compares to no other. I would like to make a difference by preparing my students for the world beyond our island. Not only do I want them to have access to computers but I want them to learn how to be 21st century students in a computer dependent society. Why because I once sat where they sat where they sat. I was once a 6th grader at LHES. If I could do it, they can too. Will you join me to helping them on their journey?
