Our students light up when it is science time, but they do not have the equipment to adequately explore the world around them. We have slides but the microscopes we have are falling apart and require a rubber band to hold the mirror in place to be able to see, and even that does not work. I am requesting 18 microscopes for my students to be able to explore the world around them. I would love to have the students go out and find things like a leaf or bug to look at under the microscope. I think it will open a whole world to them in ways we just do not have access to at this time.
