After a recent mobile visit from our local Fablab, we have been inspired to create our own products. We are a brand new STEM elective and have minimal to no equipment to help us with fabrication. We spend our days in project based learning, but we have not built up any real classroom equipment for creativity. These tools would help teach the valuable lesson of technology and real world product development coming together. The students will design their own projects and actually get to see an end result! The laser cutter will put our creative, mathematic, and scientific brains to work. The technology that each machine incorporates will allow the students to have a hands-on first look at graphic design on their own. So many of our projects require a group logo and the Silhouette will take those logos to the next level! This makes an impact that goes well beyond craft sticks and hot glue at this age level.
