The kiddos in our classroom are eager to learn to read and write, but they need help! The students this project will support are wiggly kindergartners. They are all unique in their own way but they share one thing in common; they're learning to be students! These students have a variety of disabilities that make it difficult to sit still and focus. The items that we're requesting will help our class learn to self-regulate by recognizing what their bodies need in order to be successful. We need sensory cushions, stress balls, fidget bands and other specialized tools. Sensory items will help students who have Autism and need sensory output. A variety of seating options will provide students with ADD/ADHD a chance to wiggle while they learn. All of our students with special needs would immediately benefit from the requested items.
