These Spanish language magazines will provide my students with real life, culturally authentic and engaging material to read. So much of our curriculum today is geared towards drill, drill, drill so students can "pass the test." Research, however, tells us that it is so important to bring real world materials into the foreign language classroom to help spark students' interest of the cultures and people they are learning about. These magazines will inspire my students to travel the globe to experience the amazing sights, sounds, and people that the Spanish speaking world has to offer. While they are reading these magazines, they will also be building grammar and vocabulary skills to enhance their language abilities above and beyond what the curriculum requires of them.
