Our school is a Title 1 school which means 90% or more students are on free or reduced lunch. We are located in an area of Florida where the population is low income and mostly immigrants. The students in my class are the lowest 25th percentile of the school. There are 11 retainees in my class meaning this is their second time completing Third grade. We also have 12 ESE/Special Education students. Regardless of their struggles at home, and the difficulties they have in school, my students still come to school eager to learn and with a smile on their faces. They try their best, work really hard, and make me proud every day.
