My students have expressed an interest and willingness to learn the fundamentals of digital photography. The cameras and photography guide books that we are requesting are for beginners and advanced digital photography enthusiasts. They will be great tools to build upon the knowledge and skills that they are currently learning via the internet and basic application practices thus far. My students are primarily using cellular phones to capture photos. Having real cameras will build self-confidence and skill. My students have learned photography techniques such as portraits, bursts, landscapes, and the Rule of Thirds. They are so excited about applying these techniques as well as capturing a moment in time. The Digital cameras will be used inside and outside of the classroom to explore the wonderful wildlife that we often overlook. Our photography club is the first of its kind at our school.
