The traditional method of learning is out the door! My energetic, enthusiastic, first graders are ready to learn, but sitting still for a whole day is tough! My students need balance balls, Wobble chairs, and Wobble cushions to use as alternatives to traditional seating. These resources will allow my students to choose a way that best helps them focus, complete their work and stay on task longer. No more sitting all day. We want to wiggle, wobble or bounce our way to success! It is tough to sit at a desk all day and with a class of high energy students, the whinning and wiggling in traditional seats needs to end. Therefore, in our room, the wobble stools will replace the traditional classroom chairs at our small group table where students work during math and reading times with the teacher for a duration of 20-30 minutes (a long time for a 7 year old). Wobble seats will give my high needs students extra movement so they are able to sit still and focus during whole class instruction (especially in the afternoons). Additionally, the wobble boards and bouncy seats will allow a few students to stand or bounce while they read or write at their desk! Each student has a unique learning ability, and with these resources, the success of my high energy students will increase!
